Project Description & Roles

Deseret Digital Media is rapidly growing and needed to create more workstations for their growing staff. They also wanted to update the older parts of their floor while also creating more inviting common spaces for their employees. The redesign was able to efficiently increase  density while also improving the overall function of the office.

 

The new design now boasts a collection of open office areas, collaborative meeting spaces, conference rooms, game areas, outdoor patios, a large break room, and private offices. Overall the client and designer wanted to create a comfortable and functional space for the employees of DDM through the layout, materials, and furniture selections. 

Zach's role in this project involved all stages of the design process for both the tenant improvement and FF&E package. The project scope including some alterations to the existing interior architecture and modular walls as well as a reconfigure of existing systems furniture and addition of much new. Zach was responsible for the development of new concepts to meet the program as well as the challenge to repurpose as much furniture assets as possible. Alterations to the interior architecture was documented with Revit whereas all FF&E layouts were designed and documented with CET Designer. The modular wall alterations were coordinated with the vendor. Regular client meetings were hosted on site were Zach presented to the decision makers and got approval for the proposed changes through schematic sketches as well as 3D models and photorealistic renderings.
